Getting Started

Follow these steps to set up Hot-Label and start auto-printing shipping labels from your livestreams. You’ll get 300 labels free just for signing up — no credit card required.

  1. Create Your Account
Sign up for a Hot-Label account. You’ll get 300 free labels, no payment required.
After signing in, you’ll automatically go through onboarding where you’ll provide a few business details and some basic printer preferences.
  2. Download QZ Tray
Hot-Label uses QZ Tray to securely access your thermal printer.
    Download QZ Tray here
  3. Install the Hot-Label Chrome Extension
This extension links your livestream sales to your printer.
Install from the Chrome Web Store
  4. Let the extension connect automatically
Make sure you are signed in to Hot-Label in the same browser where you installed the extension. When you open the Hot-Label extension settings for the first time, it will automatically connect itself to the Hot-Label account you used to sign up — no manual registration or keys required.
  5. Configure your printer in your operating system
Before you tweak Hot-Label settings, configure your thermal printer normally in your operating system's printing preferences:
    • Select your thermal printer as a printer in Windows or macOS.
    • Set your default label size / paper size.
    • Adjust orientation and margins so a test print looks correct.
Hot-Label uses these OS-level defaults as the starting point for how it prints.
  6. Fine-tune printer settings in Hot-Label
In the Hot-Label web app, open the Settings page and go to the Printer Settings section. There you can:
    • Select the exact printer name you want to use.
    • Choose the paper / label size Hot-Label should target.
    • Set the paper rotation so labels are oriented correctly.
    • Pick a print style: most printers work best with Standard, while many Arkscan and Zebra printers work better with Direct mode.
    • Use the Test button liberally to verify everything. Test prints do not subtract from your label balance.
